We have already passed a certain point of no return. Today, the question is no longer whether we will be able to stop climate change and its consequences, but how we will adapt/cope with it.
It is no longer possible to stop climate change. But we can slow it down to prevent it from becoming too great. And at the same time, we will have to adapt to the consequences that we will suffer. So we will have to do both indeed.
We started to write articles about it, if you are interested in ways to cope with climate change:
This is already partly what is happening in the world. Both approaches are important. Changing our way of life to be more sustainable and adapting to change.
It seems rather illusory to think that we can stop climate change, but we can hope to slow down its progress or at least not accelerate it. And as it is happening, the most urgent thing is to adapt to it.
It turns out that many of the actions that can be taken to slow down climate change are also those that help us to be better prepared for it. For example, insulating houses means that they can be heated less in winter and cooled less in summer by keeping them naturally at the right temperature; using electric cars both reduces CO2 emissions and energy consumption because they are much more efficient than cars with combustion engines.

Passive homes
Cope with floods
Cope with heat waves
Protect your garden
Grow urban forests
If you have specific questions to cope with specific events, we will be happy to write more on these topics.
Great resources!
